I thought I'd post this up on here to see if anyone would be interested in helping get a new project off the ground.
Sprout are looking for volunteers to help clear the green space next to St. Matthew's Church (off Padstow Road in Bestwood) to prepare it for the creation of a community garden and allotment.
We're holding an event there this Saturday 25th October 10.30am - 2/3pm to start the digging and clearing.
We have been given permission to develop this site (with help from Bestwood partnership Forum) which was overgrown and not being used. However, we could do with some help from volunteers who can help out!
If you could spare a couple of hours this Saturday please come to St. Matthew's church from 10.30am. Please wear old clothes and tough footwear. Gloves and light refreshments will be provided.
OR... If you're not free in Saturday but would like to help out in the longer term plans for the site, please get in touch!
